Extremely happy with my crystal clear shower door that was installed! Everything was done in a professional timely manner and we couldn't be happier! Thank you!!
Ready for a modern bathroom upgrade in Mason, or Greater Lansing areas? At Spartan Glass & Mirror, we design and install frameless shower door and shower enclosure systems built around your shower space, tile, and daily routine. Homeowners in Mason and the Lansing and East Lansing metro areas count on a custom fit, clean lines, and professional installations that support easy cleaning and solid water control.
Frameless glass shower doors give your bathroom a lighter, more open feel. Without bulky framing, your tile work shows through, natural light moves farther, and even a tight shower/bathtub opening can feel more spacious. Many remodels pair thicker tempered glass with minimal hardware for a polished look that fits a modern bathroom.
Frameless shower enclosures can be a smart match for custom designs like bench seating, niche walls, and large format tile. If you deal with hard water, a simpler profile helps with cleaning since there are fewer edges where buildup collects. Once you are ready to move forward, we can help you weigh style and maintenance so your glass shower stays practical, not precious.
Layout starts with how you enter the shower and how the room flows. Inline designs work well for straight openings with a single shower door and fixed panels. Corner setups can use a pivot shower door or a swing door showers layout, paired with a return panel to contain spray. Neo angle shower designs fit angled corners and can open up floor space in compact bathrooms.
Sliding shower doors and sliding shower enclosures are popular when clearance is limited near a vanity or toilet. Barn door shower sliders can give a clean look and smooth travel when the wall layout supports it. We at Spartan Glass & Mirror look at entry direction, door swing, shower head location, shower system controls, and shower pan details so the configuration fits your routine.
Glass type changes how the shower looks from day one and how it feels to maintain. Standard clear glass offers a classic look. Low iron glass reduces the green tint and keeps colors more true, which helps in bright tile spaces and higher end bathroom upgrades.
Privacy glass options include frosted glass and patterned textures that soften visibility without closing in the shower enclosure. Textured surfaces can disguise water spots, which helps in homes with hard water. We can talk through glass types and the tradeoffs between clarity, privacy, and cleaning. For safety, most frameless glass shower enclosure builds use tempered glass rather than annealed glass.
Hardware choices shape how the door feels every time you open it. Hinges, pivot points, handles, and mounting styles like u-channel or clamps all affect stability and how clean the edges look. We will help you choose a shower handle that fits your grip and a towel bar that feels comfortable in daily use.
Finish direction ties the whole bathroom together. Brushed nickel, polished chrome, and matte black are common picks, and we can match a brushed nickel handle or polished chrome hardware to faucets and lighting. Hardware finish and hardware options matter for long term durability, so we look at corrosion resistance and the quality of moving parts, not just the color.
Accurate measurement is the backbone of a frameless shower door project. That's why we check wall plumb, curb level, and the condition of shower wall panels or tile so the glass sits correctly. We confirm the shower type, the shower/bathtub opening size, and any out of square conditions that affect custom glass shower doors.
Leak prevention comes down to smart details, not heavy framing. We plan sweeps, seals, and tight alignment at the bottom edge and near fixed panels. We look at shower head spray direction and the shower pan slope so water returns to the drain. When glass coating or shower coating is a good fit, we will explain glass surface protection options that help reduce spotting.
On installation day, our crew protects floors and finished surfaces, sets the glass shower panel and fixed panels, then installs hardware and makes final adjustments. We test door movement, check clearances, and confirm the enclosure closes properly. You get a walkthrough that covers how to use the door without stressing hinges, plus what to watch for over time.
Care is simple with the right habits. Use a gentle cleaner and a soft cloth, plus a quick squeegee after showers to cut hard water marks. Avoid abrasive pads that scratch finishes or the glass surface. A quick check of fasteners and handles every so often keeps the system feeling solid. If you want a grid shower designs look or semi-frameless showers instead, we can talk through those options too.
Pricing depends on glass thickness, enclosure size, hardware selection, and layout complexity. Because every shower is custom-built, Spartan Glass & Mirror provides accurate quotes after an in-home measurement.
Once your custom glass is fabricated, most frameless shower door installations are completed in just a few hours. The timeline may vary depending on the size and complexity of the enclosure.
